I have enjoyed reading over many posts, thought I would join. spent the summer learning how to use these wonderful ovens while attending traditional bow shoots with friends. My first attempt was a lasagna came out amazing, my mentor "Dutch Oven Dan" really enjoyed it. Made multiple desserts at elk camp, and tried out a cheese cake that my wife loved. looking forward to checking this site out on a regular basis.

Thanks brother, TX sounds like the outdoor cooking place to be. Have a friend from Austin area that comes up to elk camp with us. Great hog stories.

Maybe I'll see you up there next year, Zeke. I bought my 1949 Plymouth from a guy in Priest River, and drove it home to Hayden that day. They have a car show up there every year and I missed it this year.

If I attend, maybe I can do some DO goodies for the show. Or video the show with my drone. Cool

The guy who got me started lives in Hayden. Small world. I actually live up hwy 57 half way to Priest Lake. If you go to the show and plan on cooking, let me know, I would love to meet you and maybe even cook with you if schedules permit.

So I drive by your house once a year, when I go up to Coolin for a Linux buddies weekend. I do Dutch oven cooking for those guys, too. :Smile 1:
